Huerfano River Blue is a 2010 Black AQHA Stallion by the great Mecom Blue (LTE $21, 291, PE $1.75 Million) out of the mare Molly Bob Acre by Bob Acre Doc (LTE $381,000, PE $4.5 Million.)
Huerfano River Blue, affectionately called “River” got his name because he was an orphan foal. Huerfano translates to “orphan” in English. Coincidentally his dam’s sire, Bob Acre Doc, was also an orphan. River was shown as a youngster and earned some AQHA money and points but was unfortunately injured early in his 5 year old year. He was legged back up in 202 and shown by Hunter Worm in the SHOT Greatest Cowboy Challenge in Ft. Worth, TX and was 1 place out of the money. He is currently continuing his training at Joey MacRae Training Center in Anderson, SC and will be shown in ARHA and AQHA events in 2022.
River is already a producer in AQHA, RHAA, SHOT and VRH. Among his offspring accomplishments, FANO RIO, owned by the Koontz family won the National Rope Horse futurity as well as several Ranching Heritage WRH classes and the AQHA VHR World Championship in the 4+ Working Ranch Horse!!
River is a horse with all the look, brains, athleticism, and genetics to produce the highest quality offspring and his offspring are already proving this to be true. He stands 14.3 hands high and weighs in just under 1200 pounds.
